Buff Strickland is a commercial and editorial photographer who shoots lifestyle, portraits, kids, interiors, entertaining, and food. She has over twenty years of experience shooting for clients nationwide on productions big, small, and everything in between, including integrated productions.
Buff was born and raised in Texas and has been taking pictures for as long as she can remember. Her undergraduate degree drew her to a career in advertising and marketing in San Francisco. There, she was able to collaborate with some amazing photographers and continue her studies at UC Berkeley. Within a few years, she quit her day job to pursue her passion full-time while assisting some of the top photographers in the Bay Area, Dallas, and finally, New York City.
Buff began shooting full-time in 2002 in New York City traveling extensively for Travel + Leisure, Gourmet, House Beautiful, Time Inc., and many more. In 2011, she and her family relocated to Austin, Texas.
Buff is energized creatively by the variety of work she's asked to shoot and capturing personal and authentic moments in her subjects. Her ability to problem solve, easy going personality, and years of knowledge keep her clients returning year after year.
